The departure of the two athletes, L.J van Zyl and Alwyn Myburgh, which resulted in withdrawal from the event, was not communicated to us as management of Team SA.

| FASU Games: Training of volunteers |

| Recently a training course for volunteers at the FASU (Federations of African Students Univercities) Games took place at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) – the Monitor Hostel. According to Johnny Sekano, Course Coordinator, these volunteers were recruited from institutions of higher learning. The aim of the course was to enable volunteers to provide an effective and efficient service during the games. |
