The Black population of South Africa is renowned for its diverse class, religious, ethnic, cultural and multi-coloured background. Despite differences among black people and the undeniable presence of infighting rugby served not only as a weekend pastime but was also responsible for establishing and strengthening socio-cultural bonds among numerous disadvantaged communities at local and national levels.
