Duties: • To provide administrative support to the designated supervisor • To provide secretarial support during periods where the supervisor will be involved in external meetings • Take minutes, organize and arrange meetings and workshops in collaboration with the supervisor • Assist the supervisor with his travel arrangements or transport hire during office and after hours • Track and follow-up on tasks and responsibilities associated with the supervisor •  Manage personal documents in a traceable filing system •  Assist with the management of incoming and outgoing correspondence to stakeholders/ colleagues • Assist with the making of photocopies • Collect, circulate and disseminate documents etc. that are relevant to the supervisors office • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Applications must be submitted on Form Z.83, obtainable from any Public Service department which must be originally signed and dated by the applicant and should be accompanied by a comprehensive CV indicating three reference persons with the following information: name and contact numbers as well as an indication of the capacity in which the reference is known to the candidate. Originally certified copies of the qualifications, Identity Document as well as the Driver’s license (where applicable) must be attached (certification should be within six (6) months period). All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by Sport and Recreation South Africa. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection committee will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of the competency-based assessments. The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency tools.
