The business of sport and global opportunities

There are definite business benefits to mega-events. A question must also be asked however, does South Africa and its sport business (and related market entities) have responsibilities beyond simply maximising our share of the world economy? In this respect, there is a view that sport business can be used as a medium to achieve social reform, for example contributing the success of the Millennium Goals.
