The psychology of successful competing in endurance events

This book is written for performers, coaches and academics. It comprises the main features of sport psychology that are relevant to competing successfully. It is likely that in the future the contents of this text will be added to as new principles of performance psychology are developed. The approach to developing this test was mediated by keeping the potential audience in mind. The principles of psychology which are presented are appropriate for all sports. The main difficulty for the coach and competitor is interpreting and applying those principles to their sport.
