Minister Mthethwa attends the Springboks captains run

Minister Mthethwa alongside ambassador Smuts Ngonyama in his continuance support for the Rugby national team attended the team’s captains run at the International Stadium Yokohama. Minister meeting also included an opportunity to also do his meet and greet where he gave his message of support.

Teams captain run is the team official training that take place a day before the match at the match venue led by the captain.  
 
In his meeting with the team Minister Mthethwa once more gave his message of support and encouragement in which he indicated the following:  
“I hope we are ready as we said all what we could last time, we are here to support you, we are very confident that you will represent us well. Back home you remain the only national team that has managed to make the world cup repeatedly and we are looking forward to your first match, we are confident that you will do well. We were at the funeral last week where we indicated that you are going to do well as dedication to Chester Williams, dedication to Nelson Mandela and also for our country. We are confident that you will do it”, indicated Minister Mthethwa.

Springboks captain Siya Kolisi responded to Minister's message on behalf of the team and stated the following: “Minister we really appreciate you traveling all the way and your support as it means a lot for us as the team, we will do our best and not disappoint, We thank you”, stated Siya Kolisi     

The meet and greet took place at the change room at the International Stadium Yokohama before the Captain's Run.
South Africa Rugby national team (Springboks) will take on defending champions New Zealand this Saturday at International Stadium Yokahama in the opening of Group B match, with kick off scheduled for 11H45.
