Minister Xasa to visit family of Mr. Nyobo and do an official handover of Rugby kit to Mdantsane Community in East London

JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG. Minister of Sport & Recreation, MP, Ms Tokozile Xasa will on 09th of March 2019 join thousands of South Africans who have sent their condolences to the family of Siphiwo Nyobo, the owner of Tarnado FC. Mr Nyobo was shot dead outside the East London Stadium on the 02 of March 2019, Saturday afternoon.

“We were shocked and saddened by the passing of Mr Nyobo, a man who was loved by the community. Nyobo was a mentor to many young people who played for Tornado FC, and saved many of our youth from drugs and alcohol abuse which are prominent in our society.” Xasa said.

Minister Xasa will pay her respect to the family of Mr Nyobo, then proceed to join the Rugby tournament and handover rugby kit.
“We must continue to invest in our youth, we must nurture their talent, amongst them future Stars will be discovered. As the sport community we remain indebted to people like Mr Nyobo, who invest their time energy and money to develop our youth.” Xasa added.
Minister Xasa has urged the law enforcement urgencies to do everything in their power to find the killers of Siphiwo “Mawawa” Nyobo and bring them to book.
